Poppy Field
Lothian, Scotland, July 2006
I spotted this field from the motorway and returned to make two visits within five days of each other. On the second visit I a timed my trip to arrive shortly after sunrise. It was a strange and magical experience standing in the middle of a field of red poppies and white mayweed at 6 o'clock on a fine summer morning.
